LAS CONVERGENCIAS EDUCATIVAS DE MOVIMIENTOS SOCIALES EN AMÉRICA LATINA. TRANSITANDO OTROS CAMINOS

Desde hace algunas décadas, los movimientos sociales de América Latina vienen cuestionando el papel del estado frente a la educación, ya sea porque ha disminuido los recursos económicos para su financiación, o porque por medio de la educación, el estado impone y viabiliza sus políticas económicas y socioculturales. Frente a estos cuestionamientos, algunos movimientos están implementando proyectos de educación formal e informal, no para quitarle la responsabilidad al estado, sino para exigirle el derecho a la educación desde la autonomía. Aquí precisamente queremos presentar cuatro experiencias de educación alternativa de movimientos sociales de nuestro continente: la Universidad Intercultural Indígena del Cauca (UAIIN) de Colombia; la Universidad Intercultural Amawtay Wasi de Ecuador; los Bachilleratos Populares de Argentina y la Escuela de Formación Sindical (ENFOC) de Brasil. Al acercarnos a ellas encontramos que se trata de propuestas distanciadas en términos espaciales: Colombia, Brasil, Argentina, Ecuador; con énfasis diferentes: universidades, bachilleratos y educación no formal; y direccionadas a sujetos distintos: Indígenas, trabajadores rurales y pobladores urbanos. Pese a las diferencias, las experiencias poseen muchos más elementos en común que presentaremos en el presente artículo: el interés político, la autonomía y el tránsito hacia otros saberes y lugares.Downloads
