CONTRABANDO, TRAGÉDIA E REFLEXIVIDADE: ANTÍGONA NA FRONTEIRA GAÚCHA

O texto que segue aproxima o contrabando, descrito como sendo mais ou menos arraigado na escala local, no tempo cotidiano e na proximidade social e comunitária, ao mito grego de Antígona, tragédia escrita pelo grego Sófocles. Duplamente queremos aproximar a história de Antígona das histórias do bagayo e dos bagayeros em Santana do Livramento-Rivera. Primeiramente, no que remete à disputa em torno do corpo de alguém morto cometendo um crime contra o estado, questão essa que aparece tanto no mito grego quanto na fronteira hoje, seja enquanto representação discursiva em causos, contos, romances ou matérias jornalísticas, seja na vida real, quando morrem contrabandistas durante operações policiais. Uma segunda aproximação correlaciona aspectos performativos, reflexivos e jurídicos presentes na encenação das tragédias gregas (em seu próprio contexto histórico) e nas relações entre contrabandistas e aduaneiros. Nas duas aproximações, a questão central é a da tensão entre um direito familiar e/ou local e o direito do estado, tensão que se resume na oposição moral e legal.Downloads
