Abstract

The digital inclusion is a constant theme of discussion when speaking about educational and behavioral changes experienced by contemporary society in the last two decades. It is noticed that this issue passes through not only by the demands of democratization of access to new technologies, but it is also a way of citizenship construction for marginalized segments of society. The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), through its extension program entitled Solidary Enterprises Incubator (IESol), has began operating at Star Settlement, located in the city of Ortigueira. In partnership with the Secretary of State for Technology, Science and Higher Education and its program called University Without Borders, the inclusion develops according to the project named Solidary Economy in the Context of Agrarian Reform: IESol and Star Settlement and Iraci Salete Strozake in Ortigueira - State of Parana. This line of actuation is an educational proposal for the settlers, so they can use computer tools in both work and daily tasks. It was settled with computer classes in october 2008. That way the university follows its role of connecting teaching, research and extension, providing concret instuments of citizenship for those involved in education.
