Abstract

This article is a result of an inquiry that took as an object of study the applied
function of the public school of secondary education of the Paraná in the period from
1979 to 2006. The studied period understands the governments of Ney Braga (1979-
1982), occurred in the dictatorial regime; the government of José Richa (1983-1986), in
the context of the transition of the dictatorship for the New Republic; and too many
managements occurred in the New Republic and in the periods of the government
Collor to the government Lula (1990-2006), being you link that of the government of
Álvaro Dias (1987-1990), of the government of Roberto Requião (1991-1994), of the
government Jaime Lerner (1995-2002), and of the government Roberto Requião (2003-
2006). We intend in this article, to point to the principal theoretical and ideological
conceptions that fed the justifications for the applied function of the public school of
secondary education from Paraná in the period investigated, establishing relations
between the governments of form to show the similarities or existent differences up in
his propositions. Next, we try to analyse the set of these conceptions, demonstrating which social and ideological functions were constantly applied of the public school of
secondary education from Paraná.
