Abstract

This article presents some considerations concerning the multiseriate schools. They are schools organized in an only room, in which they meet belonging students, generally to the four initial series of the fundamental teaching, under the an only teacher's regency. The thematic, besides being an almost unexplored investigation object for the historians of the education, was not still extinct for the new forms of school organization proposed by the educational public politics. They survive, therefore, more than a hundred years, going into the twenty one century. Our preoccupations are gone back to the reception of the history in that form of school organization and the relationships between its past and its present. In this article, we will present, especially, some considerations concerning the theories around the multiseriate schools still existent in Brazil.
