ENTRE O CAOS E O COMPLEXO: CRÍTICA À CONFUSÃO EPISTEMOLÓGICA SOBRE O USO PÓS-MODERNO DA CATEGORIA DE CAOS NA SOCIOLOGIA

O presente trabalho é resultado de uma reflexão crítica acerca do modo como a categoria teórica de caos e suas supostas implicações como fragmentação e descontinuidade são apropriadas pelos seguintes autores pós-modernos: Michel Maffesoli, Egar Morin, Jean Baudrillard, François Lyotard e Jair Ferreira dos Santos. De maneira geral, o trabalho se concentrará na análise de três pontos utilizados pelo autores pós-modernos para sustentar a ideia de caos na sociedade ocidental atual: 1) a psicologização do social; 2) a transposição de teorias da física para a sociologia; 3) o como conteúdos semióticos são apropriados de modo afirmar que o simbólico se tornou o elemento central na constituição do social em detrimento da materialidade.
