Abstract

This article intends to present data about collaborative learning through computer in graduate education. The outline presented in this paper is part of a reflection from a research about digital literacy of professors from Vale do Aço graduate education, developed by the Grupo de Pesquisa Educação e Tecnologias – GPET (Education and Techonology Research Group) – from Centro Universitário do Leste de Minas Gerais (East of Minas Gerais State university center), supported by Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa de Minas Gerais – FAPEMIG (Minas Gerais Research Supporting Fundation). The data researched so far revealed that in spite of using updated tecnological resources,  the collaborative activities are not, in fact, being practiced. The research results and their analysis are based upon the main concepts here studied. We will deal with questions about concepts and characteristics of collaborative learning, besides students and professors’ abilities to deal with them.
