Abstract

The object of study is centered in development of medical formation, relating it to dominating philosophy’s theories and to pretensions that guided political, economical and social contexts which, inclusive, enabled the emergence of university courses as the “Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal do Paraná”, founded in 1912. Scientific and technological changes have influenced the medical formation and work, considering the relation doctor-patient. The literature revision allowed the understanding and reflection about the scientific-technical evolution and the transformations in lines of thinking with eyes to medical curriculum and their repercussions into the society. New conceptions of curriculum leaded the attendance to population in front of an inappropriate system of public health.
