Abstract

This article analyzes data on teacher education Religious Education, State of Paraná, with the promulgation of the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education n. 9.394/96. With the amendment of Article 33, law n. 9.475/97, the Religious Education in Brazilian public schools abandoned the proselytizing character and assumed a new configuration, based on knowledge of the religious phenomenon. According to this Law, and Opinion n. 97/99 of the National Council of Education, fall to the education procedures for qualification and admission of Religious Education teachers. As a result of new legislation, training of teachers for this school has become fundamental to the consolidation of this new educational model. In order to analyze the process of introducing Religious Education and teacher training for this discipline, the State of Paraná, there was a survey of documents and literature on this topic. Analysis of these data resulted in the finding of a lack of public policies that enable the professional for this field. Keywords: Brazilian Education. Religious Education. Training Teacher.
