Abstract

Research on educational institutions has had an important development in recent years, particularly in the field of history of education, attracting a significant number of researchers. The appearance of the school, architecture school, organization of space, students, teachers and administrators, curriculum, textbooks, teaching project, disciplinary rules, regiments, are some of the highlights. The effort to develop research in the field of history of institutions only makes sense since it was put as a possibility to write a history of Brazilian education, with quality research to take account of regional and local authorities, a move that coordinates information among. The accuracy and quality must be present in a work of preservation of the sources of educational institutions, which would require conditions of infrastructure for the full development of research and the organization of files. This prism cannot be an individual but a collective of researchers.
