Abstract

The present text is the result of a group of reflections developed concerning three themes correlated amongst themselves, there are, the state, the brazilian racial diversity and the education. The main focus of this text is the discussion around the Law 10.639/03, that it altered the Law of Guidelines and Bases of the Education to include in the Basic Education the obligatory teaching on History and Afro-Brazilian Culture, tends as purpose the rescue of the contribution of the african people for the formation of the brazilian nation. Basically, we have today in Brazil a picture put by the law foregoing, that it brings in its bulge a group of difficulties to be faced by the whole brazilian society and the school, while diffuse institution of the critical knowledge produced socially, she needs to face this group of difficulties.
