Abstract

in this article is reported a study conducted in Music assignment for bachelor’s degree and  undergraduation in Dance course from a University in southern Brazil. These courses are very recent and are in discharging phase. Within a research-training, Music assignment for dance class was extended to studies of the history of music and rhythms to the (auto)biographical narratives about songs that have remarked the students’ life at any point.  Approximations are made with Josso (2010a, 2010b) by inviting students to talk and write about important moments involving the music in their lives.  Four stretches of narratives are analyzed in writing from the perspective of spirituality and Arts (BOYCE-TILMAN, 2007 and SNOWBER, 2007). In these reports, even if centered in spiritual pursuits, it is present the reason of career choices “for dancing” and “to dance” which tells the relationship of narrators with themselves and with music and dance in a trajectory that we call of pursuit of happiness using the category studied by Josso (2010a).
