Abstract

This article explores the mechanisms for the integration of environmental education into the daily life of universities, by selecting the Federal Technological University of Paraná - Campus Toledo as a place of research. We tried to analyze the principles related to environmental education are considered in the construction and maintenance of institutional documents, including the institutional political-pedagogical project (PPI), the institutional development plan (IDP), the pedagogical projects of the courses, in addition to plans disciplines teaching. It was used in this study the document analysis method to selected institutional documents. It was found that environmental issues and principles related to environmental education until they are inserted in the institutional documents, but not with the highlight due and necessary, reducing the elective courses, causing the disciplining and imprisonment of environmental issues in the curriculum of courses.
