Abstract

Continuing education development has gained increasing relevance in education field. This text presents a discussion on that theme, presenting some concepts that have been identified by various authors to build a panorama and situate the theoretical debate. This raises doubts about the issue from the discussion of the role of the university in its relationship with society placing the issues that would be part of this debate and seek indicators of projects concerning continuing education in universities in the various areas of teacher education courses.
