Abstract

That study intends elaborate a reading of the contemporary western societies in order to investigate some of the present peculiarities in the universe of the culture of the media. It is an attempt of delineating contours of social structures, politics and cultural ruled by electronic means of communication. The central argument is that, in these societies, the scenes exhibited in the screens so much of the movies as of television act as essential mechanisms to capture and to disclose ideas and behaviors, since are responsible for the elaboration of narratives that allow to forge the social cohesion starting from which these societies are organized.
