Estratégias de Internacionalização Universitária de Forma Multidimensional: O Caso da Unioeste

Abstract

University internationalization is increasingly being used by Higher Education Institutions as an important tool for differentiated academic education. This article aims to present the main strategies used, in a multidimensional way, by the Western Parana State University (Unioeste). For a better understanding, this article first presents the historical context in which contemporary discussions about university internationalization emerge. Next, the State of the Art on this concept is debated. Subsequently, some dimensions are suggested for the analysis of internationalization strategies. Finally, it is presented how these dimensions are implemented through a case study carried out by the International Office of Unioeste. It is verified which strategies were most successful in their implementation and some structural challenges are presented for the effective implementation of internationalization activities.
