Abstract

The paper discusses the possibility of teaching innovation in higher education and its development and modernization using the tutorial education, with systematic activities of teaching, research and extension and collective work, extracurricular and interdisciplinary courses in Pedagogy of the University of Tocantins, since 2007, with the participation of scholars from different training periods. All activities are designed so intertwined, but in practice will result in individuals'experience and, considering the specificities of "individuals" Group members and also for pursuing different objects. Thus, mentoring has proven to be one way in developing training strategies differentiated and qualified academics, spreading new ideas, strategies and experiences. Still, it has contributed to improve the training focused on teaching and learning, the training of professionals and teachers highly qualified technical, scientific, technological and academic, and training geared to the demands of society, the context of performance and accountability of the pedagogue social.
