Abstract

The school management is characterized as a rather important dimension of the education since that it allows us to globally observe the school and its context, as well as to embrace by the strategic vision and of group the problems that, in fact, operate in an interdependent way. Thus, the present paper aims at to understand the conceptions on school management of Physical Education professors of a local school of basic teaching from the city of Santa Maria (RS). The justification lies on the importance of knowing how the school management is understood by Physical Education professors once this is a task of the whole participants on the educational process within a given context. The use of the bibliographical research and of the semi-structured interview has been significant for the information collection. The participants were four Physical Education professors of a local school of basic teaching from the city of Santa Maria (RS). They have shown to be aware about the wide significance focusing the school management even if, in certain moments, they seem to be linked to centralized processes of professional acting.
