Abstract

The article analyzes a training program developed in Paraná state/Brazil, which is dedicated to public schools principals called “Escola de Gestores”. For this, the study examined the official documents of the national program and collated the goals proposed by these documents with data collected by a questionnaire applied to course participants and the course finish work, produced by participants. The findings show that the program in the Paraná state reached, even partially, the objectives of principal’s training regarding the use of information and communication technologies in school administration and in daily problems of public schools, but the aspects linked to fundaments of the right to education and democratic administration, it seems that there was no significant learning about these knowledge.
