Abstract

The article deals with the History of Education in general, and with the educational experience in particular. Its methodological incursion is inspired by phenomenology with the purpose of emphasizing the being in a relational way. It takes the concepts of history and education as a start point to discuss several aspects usually identified with teaching considered as the school´s primary task, such as organization, government, curriculum and methodology. Finally, the article focuses on the history of Brazilian education calling into question established approaches, and highlighting possible approaches which are still to be explored.
