A PRODUÇÃO DE UM DISCURSO CLIMÁTICO PEDAGÓGICO EM ARTIGO DO BLOG GATES NOTES

Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe a network of pedagogical relations that produces a form of discourse regarding climate mutations, generating notions of what climate change, global warming, etc. are, articulated around the blog Gates Notes (by Bill Gates). As an analytical focus, an article from the “Climate and Energy” section titled “On africa’s farms, the forecast calls for adaptation and innovation” was analyzed. The theoretical-methodological motivation is Actor-Network Theory, used to perceive and describe the traces left by actants as producers of meanings. The analyses point to the perception that the pedagogical climate discourse in this article remains on the Local-Global vector, under the modernization front. The proposed solutions for the ongoing climate change are based on the proposition of modernizing the Local, which remains in a condition of intermediary, not producing a relationship of mediations between the different actants of what can be called “nature”.
